Deleting your Stay account

You can delete your Stay account and its data at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app, but you can also email us if you no longer have it installed.

From the app

Open Stay and go to:

• Settings → Your Account → Delete Account

By email

If you can't access the app, email support@staydiscover.app from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before proceeding, and we'll action the request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your profile, including username, display name, bio, home city, social handles, and profile photo.
• Every stay you logged, along with its notes, dates, photos, and the tags on it.
• Your ratings, rankings, and head-to-head comparison history.
• Your likes and comments, and the likes on your comments.
• Tags of you on other people’s stays.
• Your wishlist, planned stays, and onboarding interests.
• Your follows, followers, pending follow requests, and blocks.
• Your notification preferences and any push notification tokens for your devices.

What may be retained, and for how long

Uploaded photo files may take longer to be purged from our storage systems, but are no longer linked to any account or visible to anyone once your account is deleted. Reports you filed about other users may be kept for a reasonable period to support ongoing moderation. Crash diagnostics, which are not linked to your identity, are retained for up to 30 days by our error-reporting provider.

This cannot be undone

Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account or any of its content, so please be certain before you confirm.
