Overview

These terms are the rules for using Stay, an app built and run by an independent developer ("we", "us" or "Stay"). By creating an account or browsing as a guest, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Who can use Stay

You must be at least 13 years old to use Stay. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for apps like this one, you must meet that age instead.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us at support@staydiscover.app if you think someone else has used it. Don't create an account for someone else, pretend to be someone you're not, or open a new account to get around a suspension or a block.

Your content

You own what you post on Stay: your stays, notes, photos, ratings, comments and profile. When you post it, you give us permission to store, copy, resize and display it, and to show it to the people your privacy settings allow. We use that permission only to run Stay. It ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies that take a little longer to clear from our storage, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Only post text and photos you have the right to share.

Honest stays and ratings

Stay only works if ratings come from real trips. Log only stays you actually had, and rate them on your own experience. Don't rate a hotel you own, work for or compete with, and don't accept money, free nights or other perks for a rating or a review.

What's not allowed

You may not post anything, or behave in any way, that:

Harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone.
Attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or a similar trait.
Is sexually explicit or shows nudity.
Sexualizes or exploits children in any way.
Shows or promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or graphic injury.
Promotes illegal activity, or sells or advertises drugs, weapons or other regulated goods.
Is spam, a scam, or advertising, including links posted only to promote something.
Shares someone else's private information, such as their address, phone number or booking details, or photos of people who haven't agreed to be posted.
Impersonates a person, brand or hotel, or misleads people about who you are.
Uses text or photos you have no right to share.
Tries to break, overload or get around Stay's security or limits, including scraping, automated accounts, or reaching data you shouldn't see.

Reporting, blocking and enforcement

We don't tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You can report a stay, a comment or a person with Report in the menu on it, and block someone from their profile. Blocking hides your content from each other in both directions.

We review reports within 24 hours. When something breaks these terms, we remove it, and we may suspend or delete the account that posted it, with or without warning.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. We remove it, close the account, and report it to the authorities. We also contact the authorities when content suggests someone is in danger.

Hotel information

Hotel names, addresses, photos and other details come from Google and from other Stay users. We try to keep them right, but we can't promise they are accurate or up to date. Ratings and reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours. Stay isn't a booking service and isn't connected to the hotels listed in it.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Your Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.

No warranty

We provide Stay as it is. We don't promise that it will always be available, free of bugs, or right for what you need. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Stay, including losses from relying on hotel information or on what other users post. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under laws that can't be waived.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above. If you keep using Stay after a change, the new terms apply.
